This guidance refers to:

  • Wakefield Integrated Sexual Health Service (WISH) which provides a full range of contraception (including LARCs), sexually transmitted infection testing and treatment, health promotion including motivational interviewing and condom provision and sexual health services including Genitourinary Medicine (GUM)

This service does not provide:

  • LARC for menorrhagia (this is the commissioning responsibility of the CCG)
  • Psychosexual counselling (referrals should be sent to the Leeds and York Partnership Foundation Trust)
  • Termination of pregnancy (this is the commissioning responsibility of the CCG)
  • Cervical screening (this is primary care's responsibility)
  • Vasectomy (this is the commissioning responsibility of the CCG)
  • Treatment for genital dermatology (See Dermatology Pathways )

Service Provision

Wakefield Integrated Sexual Health Services provides:

  • Free condoms /Femidoms/Dental Dams
  • C-card registration /pick up
  • Contraception (including LARC, pills)
  • Emergency contraception
  • Pregnancy testing
  • STI testing and treatment
  • HIV testing
  • Sexual health support and advice
  • Relationships and Sex Education

  • Open access with self-referral to either booked or drop-in appointments.
